Over the weekend I had the privilege of sharing the Forum Theater stage at Ohio University with some incredible artists. In collaboration with my MFA cohort, and directed by Rebecca Vernooy, we worked together over the past several months to devise Symbiosis. This piece was inspired by the ways in which we connect and struggle to connect as a society, told through a frame of disease in the body.
Directed by: Rebecca Vernooy
Lighting Design: Derek Kiefer
Stage Management: Katie McClean
Videography: Steven Lee
Performed by the OU MFA Class of 2018: Alex Amery, Time Ashby, Lisa Buch, Carson Cerney, Ellie Clark, Kristin Conrad, Brian Epperson, Annie Ganousis, Bruce McGlumphy, and Shon Middlebrooks

The Wolf
Throughout the 2017-2018 academic year, I have been working with MFA filmmaker M.r. Fitzgerald on her Thesis film, The Wolf. We had a phenomenal crew, headed by Jon Coy as Director of Photography. I had a blast on set with fellow OU actors Tim Ashby and Marianne Murray. Stay tuned for post-production updates!
Tech and Marriage
My husband is a technical director. Sometimes we have a chance to work on projects together, and Top Girls is one such show. We are both getting our MFAs, and Top Girls is part of our respective thesis requirements.
After a weekend of tech and a long dress rehearsal/cleaning/work session last night, coming home to a clean kitchen and a made bed was truly a lovely surprise. Marriage works - even during tech!
We have a final dress tonight, preview tomorrow, and open Friday!
Master Class
I had the pleasure of teaching a Musical Theater Audition master class a Logan High School last week. It was a true joy to work with such passionate students!
"My students' and my experience ... can be described in three words: intelligent, authentic, and inspiring. The combination of Kristin's poise, ability to achieve instantaneous rapport, and down-to-earth personality, maximizes the growth of anyone with whom she comes into contact, as an singer, actor, and artist. This is a true testament to the skill she possesses both, as a performer and as a clinician." - John McClain, Logan High School
Top Girls
We had some phenomenal guest artists as a part of our table work, and are now entering week four of rehearsals for Caryl Churchill's Top Girls. Part of my thesis here at OU, I am working on the roles of Lady Isabella Bird and Joyce, with performances November 2 - 11 at the Elizabeth Evans Baker Theater at Ohio University.
